Team AXL delivered full AV hire and event production for a cybersecurity conference at The Westbury Hotel, Dublin, supporting a packed agenda of presentations, panels, and interactive sessions.

With a technical audience and multiple speakers throughout the day, the setup needed to be reliable, flexible, and capable of supporting a mix of formats — from keynote talks to more hands-on, interactive elements.

AV Setup for Conference & Corporate Events

As an experienced AV company for conferences and corporate events, we delivered a complete audio visual solution at The Westbury Hotel, designed to keep the event running smoothly from start to finish.

We built a clean stage setup using Revostage lightweight staging decks and a glass lectern , creating a strong focal point for speakers.

For visuals, we supplied a full presentation and switching setup, including a Roland vision mixer, multiple presentation laptops, and a comfort monitor, allowing seamless transitions between speakers and content.

Across the room, we installed seven 65” touchscreen displays, as demo stations giving the event an interactive layer and ensuring content was visible throughout the space .

Audio & Microphone Setup

Audio was delivered through a professional PA system, managed via a Midas M32R digital mixing console and stagebox, providing clear, consistent sound across the venue.

We supplied a wide range of microphones including wireless handhelds, headset microphones, and lapel mics, giving flexibility for keynote speakers, panel discussions, and audience interaction — essential for conference-style event production .

Lighting & Event Atmosphere

Lighting was designed to give the event a more dynamic feel while keeping the stage clearly defined.

We installed a full lighting package including LED PAR uplighting, battery LED tubes, profile fixtures, and moving head lighting, all controlled via an Avolites desk. This allowed us to adjust the look of the room throughout the day, from presentations to more informal networking moments.

Onsite AV Support

Our team provided full event production support, including delivery, setup, live operation, and de-rig. With technicians onsite throughout the day, we managed audio, visuals, and lighting in real time, ensuring everything ran smoothly.

Since starting out in the AV industry in 2015, I’ve always believed that great events come down to the people behind them. I spent several years freelancing across almost every AV company in Ireland, building experience and understanding what really matters on site. Like many in the industry, COVID brought a pause, but it also gave me the push to refocus and build something of my own.
