Festival of Business 2025, St George’s Market, Belfast
This year, Team AXL had the pleasure of partnering with the Northern Ireland Chamber to deliver a full AV solution for the Festival of Business 2025, held in the iconic St George’s Market, Belfast. With hundreds of attendees and dozens of businesses showcasing their best, this was a standout event in the local business calendar — and one we were proud to help bring to life.
Building an Event from the Ground Up
St George’s Market is a stunning venue, but when it comes to events, it’s essentially a blank canvas. No in-house AV, tricky acoustics, and lots of open space — a real challenge, but exactly the kind we love. Our team arrived the day before to build everything from the ground up, transforming the empty market hall into a fully functional business hub with two separate event stages, each designed to deliver an exceptional experience.
Main Stage Setup
For the main stage, we designed a setup that was both professional and visually engaging. At the heart of it was a split LED video wall, with a central 5m x 2.5m section for presentations and video content, flanked by branded totems for signage and sponsor logos. We added complementary lighting to enhance visuals and atmosphere, along with a six-speaker PA system that filled the 150-seat space clearly and evenly — no small feat in such a reverberant environment.
To make the experience even more inclusive, we supplied silent disco-style headsets, allowing attendees to move around freely while staying connected to what was happening on stage. Behind the scenes, our visuals control system kept everything running smoothly, while our onsite AV team ensured seamless operation throughout.
We also built a 6x2m stage on 300mm legs for presenters, plus an 8x1m riser to elevate the video wall to a perfect viewing height. To top it off, we hung some black drapes behind the screen and stage area.
Second Stage & Supporting Setups
The second stage, though smaller, was every bit as impactful. It featured dual 65” displays, a PA and microphone package, and a compact stage with lectern — all managed by our dedicated support crew to keep sessions running flawlessly.
Across the wider event, we provided welcome and branding screens, as well as 55” displays on exhibitor stands to help businesses present their content with confidence and style.
A Team Effort
The result? A polished, professional event that impressed exhibitors, speakers, and visitors alike. Huge thanks to our partners at NI Chamber for the opportunity to collaborate, and to the AXL crew for their hard work in making it happen.
From concept to completion, this was a perfect example of what we do best — creating experiences that connect people, businesses, and ideas through great audiovisual design.
