The VAVA Awards 2025, Titanic Belfast

The VAVA Awards 2025 brought together some of Northern Ireland’s leading content creators and digital voices for an evening of recognition and celebration at Titanic Belfast. The awards showcased the talent shaping the region’s growing influencer scene, and Team AXL was proud to be part of making the night happen.

Behind the Scenes

Our crew worked closely with the organisers to provide full AV support throughout the event — creating a setup that looked clean, worked reliably, and suited the venue perfectly.

We had four AXL technicians onsite, managing all technical aspects from setup through to the final award. Sound, lighting, video, and camera feeds were all coordinated so the focus could stay where it belonged — on the winners and their achievements.

The Setup

At the front of the room, we installed two LED video wall totems, each measuring 2m x 3m, placed either side of the in-house stage and built on 5ft decks. These displays carried category graphics, sponsor branding, and live camera footage, giving the night a professional and engaging feel.

Our lighting package added warmth and atmosphere to the room, helping set the tone for the evening without overpowering the natural style of the space. The PA system ensured clear, even sound throughout, so speeches and announcements were easy to follow — a small detail that makes a big difference in live events.

We also supplied a live camera operator to follow winners as they made their way to the stage, capturing those key moments that define the night.

A Great Night All Round

Since starting out in the AV industry in 2015, I’ve always believed that great events come down to the people behind them. I spent several years freelancing across almost every AV company in Ireland, building experience and understanding what really matters on site. Like many in the industry, COVID brought a pause, but it also gave me the push to refocus and build something of my own.

Today, I’m focused on growing AXL into one of the leading AV production companies in Ireland. We now deliver AV for over 300 events each year, from smaller corporate meetings to large-scale productions. The aim is straightforward: do the job properly, be dependable, and help clients deliver events they can be proud of.
