It was an early start for Team AXL at Queen’s University Belfast, setting up inside the impressive Great Hall for the NI Chamber AGM 2025. With doors opening for a 9:30am kickoff, our crew were onsite bright and early to get everything in place and ready to go.

The Setup

The Great Hall at Queens is a stunning venue, full of character and history — but as with many heritage spaces, it requires a careful approach to technical setup. Our goal was to deliver a clear, professional experience for all attendees while keeping everything in line with the Chamber’s brand and the tone of the event.

At the front of the room, we installed two 75” display screens to ensure presentations and visuals were easy to follow from every seat. To tie everything together visually, we added on-brand LED tubes in the Chamber’s colours and positioned uplighters to enhance the natural warmth and atmosphere of the hall.

For audio, we supplied a full PA system and six handheld microphones, giving flexibility for speakers, panel discussions, and audience participation. As always, clear sound was a top priority — especially in a space like the Great Hall, where acoustics can be tricky.

Smooth Delivery from Start to Finish

Our technicians were onsite throughout the event, managing all aspects of the AV setup and providing live support to ensure everything ran smoothly. From sound checks to switching content and handling microphones between speakers, the team kept things simple, reliable, and professional from start to finish.
